Nuance adds 1.2M patients to the MOVEit hack victims list
Nuance Communications has reported a data breach affecting over 1.2 million individuals after a Clop cyberattack exploited a vulnerability in the MOVEit managed file transfer software. Notices have been submitted to the Attorney General’s office in California and Texas so far, and over a dozen customers may have been impacted. This vulnerability enabled unauthorized access to personal information and protected health information. This incident marks Nuance’s second known interaction with malware, following a Petya/NotPetya attack in 2017.
