UK hospital boosts patient privacy efforts

Aintree University Hospital Foundation Trust in England is set to deploy the FairWarning Privacy Breach Detection solution across all of its clinical systems to help secure electronic health records (EHRs). The trust has moved to electronic records for 90% of its health records, and the breach detection solution will help address the increasing amount of clinical and confidential data being recorded electronically. The solution will monitor all use of electronic records, reducing unauthorized access significantly.
