White House’s cloud champion to step down

Vivek Kundra, the U.S. Chief Information Officer, will be leaving his position to join Harvard University as a joint fellow. During his time as CIO, Kundra focused on cybersecurity and reducing wasteful spending. Some of his notable projects include the Federal IT Dashboard and the government’s first cloud computing policy. At Harvard, Kundra will split his time between the Joan Shorenstein Center and the Berkman Center, conducting research on digital media, technology, and governance.
