Justice Minister Yariv Levin has been granted separate legal representation to defend against lawsuits challenging the formation of the spyware inquiry committee. The committee was established to investigate the use of NSO’s Ciphon malware to infect over a thousand phones. However, critics, including former Shin Bet director and ex-IAF commander, say the committee could interfere with Prime Minister Netanyahu’s ongoing corruption trial and disrupt the work of security agencies.
