New SprySOCKS Linux malware used in cyber espionage attacks

Chinese hacker ‘Earth Lusca’ has been seen targeting government agencies in various countries using a new Linux backdoor named ‘SprySOCKS.’ Originating from the Trochilus Windows malware, it blends aspects of multiple malware, including RedLeaves and Derusbi. Earth Lusca targets entities concentrating on foreign affairs, technology, and telecommunications globally.
