APT34 Deploys Phishing Attack With New Malware
Security firm Trend Micro has discovered a new malware from the APT34 advanced persistent threat (APT) group. The malware, identified as Menorah, is capable of identifying a machine, uploading files from it and installing other files or malware. It is believed the malware was used in a targeted phishing attack against an individual or company in Saudi Arabia. APT34 are a cyberespionage group known for sophisticated cyberattacks primarily in the Middle East.
