How does the GoldDigger Android malware steal your money?

Cybersecurity firm Group-IB has discovered new malware named ‘GoldDigger’, which targets more than 50 Vietnamese banking, e-wallet and cryptocurrency apps. The Trojan deceives its users into believing it’s a tool to assist the disabled but instead extracts personal and banking information from the user’s device. Although currently concentrated in Vietnam, the malware has Spanish and Chinese versions, indicating its potential spread to these regions. Group-IB has alerted customers about the threat and begun a public awareness campaign.
