Android TV malware case worsens: Tens of millions of devices infected

Over 20 million Chinese Android TV boxes are reportedly infected with malware, posing a threat to users’ home networks. Cybersecurity firm Human Security refers to this botnet as ‘Badbox’, which is preloaded in these devices and can execute nefarious functions upon connecting to the internet. Additionally, another malware named ‘Peachpit’ funds the operation by displaying hidden ads within apps.
