Central District of California | Qakbot Malware Disrupted in International Cyber Takedown

The US Justice Department, in partnership with several international bodies, has disrupted the notorious Qakbot botnet and malware infrastructure responsible for ransomware and financial fraud across the world. The operation led to the eradication of Qakbot code from victim computers and seizure of over $8.6 million in illicit cryptocurrency profits.
