macOS MetaStealer attacks take aim at business Mac users

Hackers are using malware named “MetaStealer” to attack businesses and steal data from Intel-based Macs. They achieve this by masquerading as legitimate app installers. This malware tricks users into opening disk images. The malware heavily targets businesses, which is atypical as malware is usually distributed through mass means like fake torrents. Despite Apple offering protective measures, users are urged to remain cautious.
