Duke and NIH develop autism screening tool to improve access to care

The Autism Center of Excellence at Duke University has developed a tablet-based application, SenseToKnow, to screen toddlers for autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Used on children aged 17 months to three years, the app has an 87.8% accuracy rate for detecting ASD. The app can track signs of ASD, including differences in social attention and motor skills, and is effective across different ethnicities and genders.
