Azerbaijan Targeted in New Rust-Based Malware Campaign

Azerbaijan has been targeted in a previously unseen malware campaign, dubbed Operation Rusty Flag, deploying sophisticated Rust-based malware on compromised systems. Cybersecurity firm Deep Instinct is monitoring the operation, but no particular threat actor has been linked to it yet. The malware, one variant of which impersonates “WinDefenderHealth.exe”, is capable of gathering information from infected systems and sending it to an attacker-controlled server.
