Hackers Abusing Skype and Teams to Deliver the DarkGate Malware

Hackers are using Microsoft’s Teams and Skype platforms to infiltrate businesses with DarkGate malware. The malware allows remote access, file encryption, cryptocurrency mining, and credential theft. A PDF appearing in a Skype chat, or a link in a Teams message, delivers a malicious script. The technique has been spotted globally, with attacks seen mainly in the Americas, Asia, Middle East, and Africa.
