Hackers trying to corrupt AI, raising level of ransomware threat: S’pore cyber-security director

Cyber criminals are attempting to exploit generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools like ChatGPT to create ransomware, according to Willis Lim of Singapore’s National Cyber Threat Analysis Centre. If successful, this could present a new level of threat by giving anyone the ability to create ransomware. This comes as a report showed a 13% rise in ransomware incidents globally in 2022.
