Western Australia pursuing healthcare generative AI and more briefs
The Western Australia government has awarded almost AUD1m ($590,000) to fund 19 projects exploring the use of generative AI in healthcare, including for the diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease and ear conditions. Meanwhile, Queensland University is replacing mixed systems across its outpatient clinics with Clintel Systems’ integrated CareRight solution. Flinders University has launched the country’s first online registry for perimenopause and menopause to improve research and education in women’s health, while Mater Private Hospital Townsville is implementing digitally enabled post-operative protocols.
