New threat report reveals true dominance of ransomware

According to Elastic’s Global Threat Report, ransomware attacks are diversifying and expanding, with over half of all malware infections observed on Linux systems. Malware largely consisted of several prevalent ransomware families and commercial off-the-shelf tools. The report also identifies credential access techniques as crucial to cloud intrusions, with 53% of such incidents tied to compromised legitimate Microsoft Azure accounts.
