Victims charity calls for changes after police data breach

Suffolk and Norfolk police accidentally released the personal details of 1,230 victims of crimes and witnesses, causing a significant data breach. The information was attached to FOI requests journalists had made for crime statistics. The victims are expected to be contacted by September, and the Information Commissioner’s Office is investigating the incident.
