Hackers target U.S. Facebook biz accounts with potent malware cocktail

A Vietnamese cybercrime group has been attacking English-language Facebook business accounts of digital marketing firms based in the US, UK and India, according to a report. The criminal actors are using malware known as DarkGate and steal information by hijacking accounts to run unauthorized advertising campaigns. The group is part of a larger mix of Vietnamese hackers and the threat includes both financially motivated and espionage-focused actors.
