Political History: How A Democratic Organization Leaked Six Million Email Addresses

The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee mistakenly exposed around 6.2 million email addresses in a misconfigured Amazon S3 storage bucket. The list, belonging to a major Democratic electioneering group, was uploaded onto the bucket in 2010, and likely relates to one of Hillary Clinton’s Senatorial campaigns. The breach was discovered on July 25th 2019, and the bucket was secured the following day.
