Fake Telegram apps, Akamai defeats mega-DDoS, Rhysida attacks

Cybersecurity firm Kaspersky has discovered fake Telegram apps which are acting as spyware, targeting Chinese-speaking users and the Uighur minority. Akamai recently mitigated the largest DDoS attack on a US financial company, at its peak hitting 633.7 Gbps. Studies have highlighted the serious mental health issues facing those in cybersecurity, with 66% of respondents reporting “significant levels of stress”.
