How arrested ‘ISI spy’ targeted Indian defence personnel using malware & a school fee loophole
Indian police arrested a man working for Pakistan intelligence who used a Whatsapp number to compromise the android phones of defence personnel. The suspect, Labhsankar Maheshwari, had allegedly facilitated the acquisition of the Indian mobile number by forwarding the One-Time Password (OTP) needed to create a Whatsapp account to the Pakistani agency, ISI. The scheme involved encouraging targeted individuals to install a malicious application in pursuit of critical information.
