New “Complaint Stealer” Malware Escalates, Targeting Cryptocurrency Wallets & Hospitality Sector

New malware called ‘Complaint Stealer’ is being distributed through phishing campaigns that target cryptocurrency wallets, browser credentials, graphics card information and data associated with cryptocurrency mining. The campaigns, which involve social engineering techniques seen in recent MGM, Caesars and other luxury resort breaches, bypass various secure email gateways including Cisco Ironport and Microsoft ATP, using password-protected archives to deliver the malware.
