more than half of UK public don’t trust AI

A majority of the UK public (56%) distrust the National Health Service’s (NHS) employment of AI to analyse their patient data, according to research from VMware. The study also discovered that 87% of UK consumers think it is important for their patient data to be stored in the UK, with 39% stating this ensures compliance with UK data privacy laws, and 21% believing local storage makes the data less susceptible to foreign cyber attacks.
