FBI Focuses on Cybersecurity With $90M Budget Request

The FBI is seeking over $63 million in new funding to combat cyber threats in 2024. Director Christopher Wray presented this need to the House Committee on Appropriations Subcommittee. The aim of the requested budget is to keep pace with the increasing cyber threat, primarily from China, and would be used to enhance the FBI’s cyber information-sharing abilities, increase its cyber capabilities, and protect its internal networks.
