Out of Pocket: How an ISP Exposed Administrative System Credentials
Pocket iNet, a Washington-based internet service provider, unknowingly exposed 73 gigabytes of data in a misconfigured Amazon S3 storage bucket, according to the UpGuard Cyber Risk team. The unprotected data included lists of passwords, AWS secret keys, and photographs of Pocket iNet equipment. The exposure was discovered on 11 October and was secured eight days later.
