The 5 Pillars of IT Security (according to the NHS)

The UK government has defined a cybersecurity strategy for the National Health Service (NHS) to tackle frequent cyberattacks on its IT systems. Five ‘pillars’ to achieve this include patient care prioritisation, encouraging collaborative work between NHS trusts, cybersecurity training for all staff, incorporating security measures in the initial planning stages of IT projects, and an improved system of incident responses. A plan detailing how the strategy will be enacted will be released in the summer.
