Cyberattacks have targeted Minneapolis Public Schools, the health insurance marketplace, DC Health Link, and AT&T, among others. The school faced ransom demands after sensitive data was stolen, while the private information of members and staff of the US House of Representatives was exposed, and approximately 170,000 users affected. Meanwhile, AT&T revealed around nine million customers were affected by a breach in January. An IntelBroker is also selling data allegedly stolen from DC Health Link’s servers. Cybersecurity experts have urged businesses to strengthen security efforts to tackle the rising number of attacks.
