Dark Cloud: Inside The Pentagon’s Leaked Internet Surveillance Archive

The UpGuard Cyber Risk Team has reported on a data exposure, now resolved, involving the Department of Defense (DoD). Three publicly downloadable cloud-based storage servers exposed a vast amount of data collected in apparent DoD intelligence-gathering efforts. As well as posts revealing loose links to the US’s security concerns, the servers also contained a large amount of apparently benign posts from within the US, raising concerns over surveillance and the right to freely express beliefs online.
