Ransomware attacks remain the most acute threat to organisations

The National Cyber Security Centre indicates ransomware continues to be the biggest cyber threat to UK organisations, with 39% of businesses falling victim to a cyberattack within the last year. As remote and hybrid working models have increased the attack surface for cyber criminals, companies need to adopt multi-layered defence strategies, including vulnerability and penetration testing as well as effective data backup systems. Utilising DevSecOps, which includes automated security in all software development phases, is emerging as a key priority.
