New TetrisPhantom hackers steal data from secure USB drives on govt systems

Security researchers have discovered a sophisticated threat, dubbed TetrisPhantom, that uses compromised secure USB drives to target government systems in the Asia-Pacific Region. According to Kaspersky’s report, TetrisPhantom deploys trojanized versions of the UTetris application on secure USB devices, using malware to steal documents and sensitive files. The attacks have been ongoing for a few years, with espionage being the constant focus.
