Binance’s Smart Chain Exploited in New ‘EtherHiding’ Malware Campaign

Cybercriminals are using Binance’s Smart Chain contracts to host malicious code in a malware campaign called EtherHiding detected by Guardio Labs. The threat actors target WordPress sites, delivering fake browser update alerts that, when clicked, redirect victims to download malware. With the malware hosted on a decentralized service, there is currently no way to disrupt the attack. Cybersecurity firm Sekoia has observed the deployment of malware loaders, IDAT Loader and HijackLoader.
