UpGuard has revealed that personal details of over 37,000 people from an exposed database belonging to Australia-based matching clinical trials company Neoclinical were secured to prevent future abuse. The exposed records were largely from people in Australia and New Zealand, and included not only contact details but also their responses to questions about medical diagnoses, illegal drug use and treatments. The breach was detected on 1 July, reported to Amazon Web Services Security on 25 July and closed down the following day.
