Hackers backdoor Russian state, industrial orgs for data theft

Several state and key industrial organizations in Russia have been targeted by a custom Go-based backdoor, with data theft capabilities that would aid espionage operations. Cybersecurity firm Kaspersky detected the cyberattack campaign as well as a newer version of the backdoor that features improved evasion. The identity of the attackers remains unknown, limiting Kaspersky’s efforts to help thwart the attacks. Arnold Noble
