The medical records of over 42,000 patients were discovered by a cybersecurity team in a publicly accessible data repository from internal medicine and cardiovascular health specialists Cohen Bergman Klepper Romano Mds in PC New York. Information exposed included physician and patient names, Social Security numbers, dates of birth and mobile numbers. Researchers from cybersecurity company UpGuard also discovered over three million medical notes within the data set.
