StripedFly malware targets more than a million PCs, disguising as a crypto miner

Kaspersky has revealed a dangerous malware called StripedFly, disguised as crypto mining software, compromising over a million Windows and Linux systems worldwide since 2016. The malware uses an EternalBlue variant, an exploit originally developed by the NSA and known for its use in 2017’s WannaCry ransomware attacks, to infiltrate and spread across unpatched systems, collecting sensitive information.
