Huawei, Vivo phones tag Google app as TrojanSMS-PA malware

Huawei, Honor, and Vivo smartphones and tablets have sparked concern by showing a ‘Security threat’ alert suggesting the Google app is the ‘TrojanSMS-PA’ malware. It suggests immediate uninstallation of the Google app. While Google suggests the alert comes from devices that are not Play Protect certified, a report by BleepingComputer refutes this claim.
