Avast confesses it’s to blame for flagging Google apps as malware

Avast’s antivirus Software Development Kit (SDK) mistakenly alerted users to a non-existent malware in the Google Quick Search Box app launcher on Huawei phones, as well as on a limited number of Honor and Vivo devices. The issue was resolved on 30th October.
