Microsoft’s Secure Future Initiative puts AI at the heart of its security strategy

Microsoft has launched a programme, the Secure Future Initiative, to enhance security in light of potential AI-supported cyber threats. This includes the introduction of new AI tools for internal cybersecurity and advances in software engineering with AI. The company’s Security Copilot tool, which uses AI to detect and neutralise threats, is recognised as game-changing. Microsoft also plans to significantly increase the speed of vulnerability responses and security updates, improve identity management across platforms, and publicly oppose non-disclosure agreements that restrict vulnerability sharing.
