Scientists from the US Department of Energy’s Argonne National Laboratory have managed to achieve efficient quantum coupling between two distant magnetic devices. This could be beneficial in creating new quantum information technology devices. The process includes using two small yttrium iron garnet magnetic spheres embedded on a superconducting circuit, ensuring low-loss coupling for the magnetic spheres. Researchers believe this could lead to the development of miniaturizable quantum devices.
