Windows Systems Attacked by BiBi Wiper Malware
A new pro-Hamas wiper malware called BiBi is targeting Israeli organizations’ Windows and Linux systems. Unlike ransomware, it doesn’t encrypt or extract data but instead corrupts the data by overwriting files. The malware has been linked to an Iranian group known as the Agonizing Serpents, with initial attacks disrupting operations and causing irreversible data corruption. Israeli CERT has alerted potential targets to help prevent attacks.
