Researchers at ESET have discovered a potential watering hole attack on the Hunza News website, a news outlet covering the disputed region of Gilgit-Baltistan in Pakistan. An android app offered on the site, particularly to Urdu-speaking mobile users, has been identified as having malicious espionage capabilities. The app was found to harvest data from compromised mobile devices.
