Met police on alert after IT security breach

The Metropolitan Police in London have implemented security measures after a data breach revealed names, ranks, photod, vetting levels and pay numbers of officers and staff. It is the latest such incident, following recent breaches at the Police Service of Northern Ireland, and the forces in Norfolk, Suffolk, and South Yorkshire. No addresses, phone numbers or financial details are believed to have been compromised.
