IT Pros Worry Generative AI Will Be a Major Driver of Cybersecurity Threats

The Fastly Global Security Research report suggests generative AI is seen as a growing cybersecurity threat, alongside data breaches and identity-based risks. However, respondents also saw generative AI as potentially increasing productivity and enhancing protection against cyber threats. The biggest fears were that it could introduce new avenues for attack, while nearly half feared their security teams lacked experience with such emerging technologies. Other key threats included an increasingly sophisticated threat landscape and attacks targeting remote workers.
