Apache ActiveMQ bug exploited to deliver Kinsing malware
A recently fixed vulnerability in Apache ActiveMQ is being exploited to install Kinsing malware and cryptocurrency miners on Linux systems. Attackers are using the vulnerability to execute arbitrary code with the same privileges of the server. The hackers use the Kinsing malware to infiltrate servers, spread rapidly across networks, and mine cryptocurrencies. Organizations are urged to patch the vulnerability and maintain up-to-date security patches to mitigate the risk.
