Flaw in Apache ActiveMQ Exposes Linux Systems to Kinsing Malware
A serious vulnerability (CVE-2023-46604) in Apache ActiveMQ, a Java-based open source protocol, has been exploited by the Kinsing malware. The issue, identified by Trend Micro, leaves Linux systems at risk as it allows for remote code execution due to insufficient validation of throwable class types in OpenWire commands. Trend Micro has urged users to upgrade to a new patch to mitigate the risks.
