Microsoft warns WhatsApp users in India about high risk Android malware, flags banking messages
Microsoft has warned of increasing mobile banking trojan campaigns in India, which trick WhatsApp and Telegram users into downloading malicious apps by impersonating legitimate organizations. These fraudulent apps steal sensitive data, such as personal details and financial credentials. Microsoft advised users to only install apps from official stores, avoid clicking unknown links, use mobile security solutions, and disable “install unknown apps” feature.
