Fake Google Chrome, Safari Updates Infecting Mac Computers With AMOS Malware
Mac computers are being targeted by the Atomic Stealer malware, distributed via fake Google Chrome and Safari updates. The malware steals passwords and private files, and is delivered through a social engineering campaign. Users are advised to use web protection tools like Google Chrome’s Safe Browsing setting and to avoid downloading installers from unknown sites. Updates should only be downloaded from official sources such as google.com or directly via the operating system in Apple’s case.
