Atomic Stealer malware spread to Mac users via fake browser updates: Report

Cybersecurity firm Malwarebytes has warned that threat actors are using a new malware campaign called “ClearFake” to deliver Atomic Stealer malware to Mac users via fake browser updates. The ClearFake campaign, which began in July 2021, initially targeted Windows users with bogus Chrome update prompts on compromised sites, but has expanded its activity to include Mac users.
