Minimizing Risk Between a Zero-Day Attack and the OS Patch
The University of Toronto’s Citizen Lab discovered a “zero-click, zero-day” cyberattack targeting Apple devices, causing Apple to issue emergency patches. The attack reflects the ever-present risks of relying on mobile OS vendors for security, with many common vulnerabilities and exposures (CVEs) found in 2022. BlackBerry suggests using its unified endpoint management tool, UEM, to secure data and protect against such attacks, including isolating data on mobile devices and providing high-level encryption. Corporates must include mobile endpoints in their cybersecurity strategies, BlackBerry stresses.
