Governments unveil new AI security rules to prevent superintelligence from taking over the world

The US Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) and the UK National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) have issued guidelines for the development of artificial intelligence (AI). The non-binding framework suggests ways to protect data and prevent misuse, focusing on secure design, development, deployment, and operation. It encourages companies to design “secure by design” AI, and highlights the dangers of falling under stricter regulation if models are misused.
